How to measure your nails

Ok babe, before I can whip up your dream set, we need to make sure we’ve got your sizing down perfectly. No one wants press-ons popping off mid-coffee sip, right?

You only need to measure your nails once! I'll keep your sizes on file for future orders, like your own personal nail vault.

I use GelX tips by Apres Nail, in Almond & Coffin, sizes S to L. Basically, a cute and comfy fit for most hands. Let’s figure out your match.

Using a measuring tape:

Place the soft measuring tape across the widest part of your natural nail (usually near the free edge).

Measure in millimeters (mm), no eyeballing!

Write it down for each nail, thumb to pinky.

Tape & ruler method:

Stick a piece of clear tape across your nail.

With a pen, mark the widest points on the tape (sidewall to sidewall).

Peel it off, stick it to a ruler, and measure the distance in millimeters.

Find your fit

I work with high-quality soft gel tips, not your average drugstore stick-ons, ok?

Each tip has three key measurements:

  • Length: How long the nail is.

  • Width: How wide the tip is across.

  • Inner curvature: This is the part that hugs your natural nail and gives that flush, no-lift fit. It’s also the measurement you got in the previous steps.
